anybody know a smith that repairs folders? i have a nice tanto lock back that the spring broke. appreciate any help.
i dont know the maker its a commercial job.not really cheap if i remember it was about 50.00

This is a big problem I have with customs. Because I am not a collector of "showcase knives" but rather use my knives. I tend to stick with production models as I have hopes that a) the manufacturer will still be in business when I need them (so far so good) and; b) that the warranty/repair department is responsive, responsible and friendly,(really depends on the manufacturer, some good and some not so good).

At least with production knives you stand a better chance of getting 'er up and running compared to some obscure "bladesmith" that was making knives a few years ago and is now onto custom jewelry or some other game.
