I make folders only and would like to increase size of them for decorative purposes only. But...it seems there is a size after which one simply does not have suspenders strong enought to keep your pants up! DO many of these large folders actually get carried. What do you think is proper sizing for EDC?

Edc size is best kept around 3 inches in my opinion. Anything bigger than that and you might as well carry a fixed blade.

Hi John, I also find it much more convenient to carry a 3" or smaller knife, however I can see the advantages of carrying a large folder. In NC we don't have a length limit, to the best of my knowledge, so carrying a folding knife with a 6" blade concealed is much easier legally than a concealed belt knife. I've been very surprised at how many folks I see around here who carry quite large folders. If a knife is strictly for the mundane variety of daily tasks 3" should cover it, but some folks do want larger.
