Looking at the Delica 4. Do the new liners in the FRN models get it to the "feeling like a fixed-blade" point or is the stainless model (too bad they cannot be dissassembled) the only ticket? I did handle a FRN Endura 4, just to feel the handle, but it did not have much of a one unit feel. I have a Wal-Mart Native that I like to carry, light weight, and to use. But when I use it in an aggressive manner the handle flexes and my confidence wanes. I would not mind the extra weight as long as the knife feels solid in hard use. Contemplating a Lava too. Are the stainless models the only way?

Delica 4...FRN AWESOME folder. (especially in ZDP-189)

Rock solid. It's not a fixed blade but feels really solid.

A D4 with ZDP is the best knife EVER. It booted my normal Delica out of my pocket the second I could change them out. The Delica is amazing.

IMO, an older model lil temp leaf blade in s30V is about as close as a folder can get to the non flexing, fixed blade feeling when new and not beat to s#!^. Good luck finding one. Do you like e-bay? Know any stores with lots of NIB old stock?

If you get to see it you will understand why I say what I say. The blade is supported for the first few ??mm.

There was another blade style called the "trailing point" ( commonly called rhino horn). They( both styles) were first made in 440V, then changed to S30V. It's a Comp lock, very strong! Joe
