folder with a bottle opener

SAK has so many with a bottle opener hard part is picking which one.
The electrician should serve him well at work & play, 3.5" OALc.
I'm not an electrician so I have the cadet in green alox.
A 'minimalist' as far as SAKs go with spear blade, bottle opener w/lrg screwdrvr, can opener w/small screwdrvr, and nail file&cleaner tip on a 3.25" frame.
Small enough to fit in watch pocket and thin enough to not block access to main RF pocket. I likee.

gerber obsidian... ik some think gerber is cheap but great knife and tough as knifes for breakfest w/ out milk lockop

Any regular sized SAK would be absolutely perfect. Especially the alox models, since they have the beefy blades and tough sleek look.

I have a leatherman k500x folder (I think thats the code name?). The blade is 154CM and comes with a funky grind -sharpening it was easy though. The bottle opener/ lanyard thing sucks as a bottle opener. Overall these knives are great user knives, but they are not going create that sense of closeness like a SAK -the closeness that will further increase the users vulnerability to knife collecting/ accumulating. Dont we want all our friends to be knife nuts?

If so, I say "alox SAK."

Thanks everyone for the great responses! Right now I've decided to purchase both the SAK Electrician and the Buck Redpoint. I'm sure he can make use of both. If he ever decides he doesn't need one well I'll take that one off his hands. I grew up carrying SAK Tinker in my right pocket through out high school and college and still have it. Can't believe how many times it came in handy. Now I have a LM Wave along with a rotating collection of EDCs always on hand, today it is the Spyderco Native. Once again thanks for all the great responses. Now I just need to figure out what knife to purchase for myself when I place the order!

If you can open a bottle with a lighter, any blade can be used. I love using the blade of an open or closed folder with leverage on my fingers. Freaks people out when I do it with an axe or bowie.

Spyderco Endura or Deica Wave
Most Victorinox or Wegner swiss army knives
Most Leatherman knives/tools
Kershaw E.T.
Byrd Firebyrd (lowest price of the group)
