Folders storage

I've been trying to track one of these down to put my knives in for years now, but it's damn near impossible. It's an old pipe display from the 1940s. It has lights and velvet lined rotisserie style motorized shelves. It so sad they don't make stuff like this anymore. Maybe I'll take a crack at making one if I can ever find the time.

That would be a great way to display quite a few knives. I use a large wood and glass case for my collection of fixed blades especially the very old ones.

The Spyderpak is nice if you have a lot of folders.

Out in the open where dust can land on them. Occasionally I would blow them out with compressed air, I didn't baby them

I don't have many folders. All but four of them reside in a shoe box on my workbench. One of the 'but-four' rides in my pocket, the second is in my keepsakes box, and the third and fourth are in my Vietnam-era collection.

I use an old blueprint file cabinet. Tool boxes with drawers work well.

Bud, your blueprint cabinet is brilliant and looks great. I'm in commercial construction and will now keep my eyes peeled for something like this for my knives. I'd love to find something used, old, and in good condition so thanks for sharing. Over the years two drawers of tools now in my Craftsman garage toolbox have had to be relocated and something like this will work perfect for me as I sure haven't stopped acquiring tools along the way either. And by the way, that particular drawer collection looks fantastic!

At home I'm using up 2 lined drawers in my Craftsman toolbox. Another member shared a great idea using an old blueprint cabinet so I'll be hunting for something like that now. I also like to have a mobile storage solution where I can carry 8-12 folders when were out running the trails in our old Jeep. The smaller Vault cases have turned out to be a good solution for me and as long as I keep them secured and packed properly and none of my folders have gotten marred or scratched up on the trails as I also use soft spacers between flaps to snug everything up well and lay them flat when traveling.

I like this case and could use three more but it has no label/manufacturer indication on it any where. Knives are heavy ! This case weighs around 25 lbs or more. The handles and clasps need to be heavy duty. If anyone knows where I can get a few more of these please say so. I think this one is from a massive Case knife distributer in Missouri. The exterior is black vinyl.View attachment 2609086

Gerstner chests are great if you want lockable storage and the ability to carry the chest around.
