Folders, tip up or tip down?

laredo, as you can see it's just a matter of personal preference. If you're not religious about it, I recommend you stay open to either. You'll pretty much get used to both kinds once you carry and use them. There are just too many great knives of each style to eliminate one of them. There are much more important features to a knife than which end the clip is attatched to. I think all knives should be drilled so the clip can be moved to all 4 positions anyway. I prefer, for pants pocket or boot carry, tip-up, but this has never been a factor in deciding which knife to buy.
