Hey everyone. So I tried looking up thick bladed folders in the forums and based on the first two pages, everything suggested was either an expensive knife or just didn't fit my needs.

I had a spyderco techno and I loved it. It was just a bit too small for my preference. I know There probably aren't many folders as thick as the techno that's more in the 3-3.5 inch blade range. I'm just curious if there's a folder that has a thick stock and preferably a frame lock?

In case you skipped the paragraph, what I'm looking for is:
-thick blade
-3-3.5 inch blade
-frame lock
-preferably not cold steel
-$75-$100 (or less!)

Check out the Boker Plus Vox F3. I actually like my full ti version. It is a beast.
I have the older S30V version which is now discounted here -

A little above your price range. You can find them on the secondary market for around $100.
The newer version is S35VN. No other changes that I'm aware of.
It's hollow ground so it's actually not a bad slicer despite the thick stock.

It's not going to be the same quality as the Techno, but you might want to check out the CRKT Vox Large Batum: http://www.bladehq.com/item--CRKT-Vox-Batum-Frame-Lock-Flipper--51839

Here's a quick video that shows how thick the blade is:

8Cr13MoV gets a lot of hate from steel snobs, but it's really not that bad at all. You just have to touch it up more than you'd have to with CTS-XHP or other higher end steels; but sharpening is fun! The only thing I'd note is that this large Batum is a pants-dropping 7 ounces. But if you're looking for thick then I assume you'll be OK with some heft.

The Kershaw Knockout (sub frame lock) or Kershaw Blur (liner lock) fit your parameters.
I have had 2 Knockout's, I lost one and couldn't live without having one, so I got another. That would be my recommendation.
Nice thick stock with Sandvik 14C28N steel.
It depends on how you feel about assisted open knives. If you don't like them assisted, or they are not legal in your area, the Blur is a popular knife to de-assist, and works very well as an unassisted folder. Haven't tried this with my Knockout yet, but I think it would also perform quite well unassisted since it has such a heavy blade.

Kizlyar Supreme Ute.

It's a liner lock, but has nice thick liners as opposed to your typical thin production liners.
My go to heavy duty knife. 440c steel.

If you can deal with a liner lock then you may well like the Kabar Jarosz folder.

Take a look at the Buck Vantage Pro. Great knife, strong linerlock, but other than that fits you specs..
Rich

Real steel h6 plus. Nice thick blade stock. Sandvik steel. Frame lock. Mid $50 range. I was pleasantly surprised when i got it. Almost as thick as my zt 0562.

As noted above, the Vantage Pro is a fine knife to own if you are ok with a liner lock. Excellent s30v blade, hollow ground.

You might also look for a Boker Anso Albatross. Never seen one in the wild, but it fits the bill.

There's also the CRKT Pilar. Not quite as thick as the techno, but still stout. I think brancron brancron Is fond of them.

Kizer v3 Vigor ki403. 3.75" s35vn blade, .14 inch thick. Titanium framelock. There's a place you can get a drop on one right now for $75. Also the Kizer ki4416 which has a 3.5" s35vn blade, .157" thick. Titanium liner lock. This one is beefy. I own both and they are great knives. I own the ki4416 in the a2 variation with rainbow ano. You canget it one from the same site right now at a dropped priced of $85

When you say thick, what do you mean?
I mean the width of the blade stock thick. It can be a narrow blade. I don't mean thick as in stout like the techno or the boker war toad. I just mean it's not thin. I'm sorry if this didn't clear things up

Sorry if this is off topic, but out of curiosity why do you want the blade to be thick?
I choke up a lot on my folders and the thinner blades irritate my thumb, even with the calluses. Also I tend to baby my thinner knives so it gives me the confidence to use my edc a little tougher if the blade is thicker
