As I wrote this, a fear came over me that these decisions were all made by a "Snap to…" option in the CAD software.Anyway the aesthetics of the hole/screw/pivot geometry on the Critical *are* great. The two backspacer screws are both in the same relationship to a corresponding hole. The pivot isn't in line with the row of holes, but it isn't *trying* to be, and its circumference *is* spaced from the last hole by the same distance as the holes are from one another. Great choices.
