Folders

When it comes to folders, Spyderco wins big time (the most carried in the last months being the Junior, for obvious reasons). But I do enjoying carying a balisong now and then too.

Mostly one of these:

Microtech LCC and an old Benchmade Tanto are my lockblades. Carry a small custom slip joint everyday and everywhere.

I have several folders that I regularly edc: Hinderer XM-24, XM-18, ZT 0301, Kershaw Ti/189 Mini Cyclone, Tyrade, Spec Bump, Benchmade 630, 635, 710-M4, 710-M390, but I usually start with one of my Infi/Skirmishes

ZT 0560, ZT 0551, XM-24 Custom Spearpoint, XM-18 3", BM 710PS (154CM), 'benza NICA Tanto Lg. and Sm. or Sm. Reg (all w/ BG-42) & always a Vic. Rambler.

I'm guessing those first two are ZT's, not BM's. ;)

Just got a ZT 0560 today I got off the forum. It may be the new favorite, wow these are a huge upgrade from the 0550's. Way lighter, way easier to open, fit and finish is epic. Now maybe I can get Garth to grind me an INFI blade replacement for it? ;)

Cheers!

Today it's a Case mini trapper in amber jigged bone. Usually either a camo leatherman charge, a staglo explorer (old style), or large insingo, but I've got close to 100 folders of all shapes, sizes, lock styles, traditional & modern, so it just depends on the mood, & whether I'm working or not.

Either my:
- ZT301
- CR Umnumzaan
- Benchmade MPR
- Spyderco Cricket
Waiting for:
- Strider SJ-75
- ZT 561

Aside from a SAK executive on my keys ... our laws make the Spyderco UKPK a popular choice for EDC ... and it works well for fire prep if need be ....

Used with a pencil sharpener it gives good tinder for a fire steel ... just use the knife to carve a pencil shaped stick

For a defensive folder carried for purposeful use ... I got a custom maker over here , Mike Lamprey to do me something special ...

If you haven't seen my Infi/Skirmishes before, I had Reese Weiland custom make a couple of blades to fit a Benchmade 630 Skirmish handle. I had to sacrifice a Sarsquatch and a SJTAC for the blades. I thought that once the blades were finished, Jerry would release the Busse Folder the next week. I've had them a little over a year now and still no Busse Folder. Jerry's probably waiting until the Blade Show.
