Folding Box cutter

Some places will ONLY allow box cutters to be used instead of a real blade due to insurance...

I have always had an affinity for folding box cutters. IMO the standard ones you push opebeing with your thumb is what you want if you are going to be cutting sheet rock all day. That being said I have a nice little collection of the folding type. I like the lightweight aluminun ones. I have a couple that let you carry spare blades in the handle but their weight and short size make them awkward clipped to the pocket. I really like my superknife the best. It rides well in the pocket, smooth deployment, easy quick change system and the pocket clip on mine works well. I don't know why I like these things some much. It seems at times to be a lot of comlexity, more bladeholder than blade.

Oh, don't get us wrong. Most of us here prefer actual knives to boxcutters, but we appreciate the boxcutters for work we wouldn't subject our good knives to. Think of the boxcutters as "stunt doubles.":D

I would much rather have something decent like the Spyderco than a POS box cutter:barf: because it's more fun to carry IMHO. Maybe I'm just a knife snob.:)
