I'm looking for a folding cleaver for EDC use, but am having a hard time finding the right one... Does anyone know anyone who makes them?

Thanks

Just EDC stuff.. But the reason I'm asking is because I'm not seeing many manufacturers or people making them... I was hoping that you guys might know of some lesser known knife makers producing them.

That's probably because cleaver is a large knife that varies in its shape but usually resembles a rectangular-bladed hatchet. It is largely used as a kitchen or butcher knife intended for hacking through bone. I don't believe that lies within the range of most folks' EDC folding knife needs.

Seems like somebody makes something like that though....to the Google!

For many , the main purpose of a flipper is to flip ! If you're looking for an uber ceramic ball bearing flipper , you need to share that and a price range .;)

Hawk Orbit fit the bill?

If you can't find one, a real sheep's foot blade will be essentially the same thing performance wise it just won't look like a cleaver.

while I agree that a sf makes a useful edc. The lack of belly & positioning of the blade relative to the handle on a sheepfoot may negatively impact use for food prep if that is what the op is after.

I'm a bit of a newb and don't know how to post pics .. trouble bladeworks "debt collector" is similar to what I'm looking for

So will a Wharncliffe and some Cotton Samplers.

But our friend is looking for something that looks like a cleaver.
Like a khukri , a cleaver needs substantial mass to work like a cleaver should . Maybe some folders do have the weight , but then few want to carry it .
