The header says it all, except I would like a lanyard whole and maybe for it to be a flipper.
 
What Dadpool Dadpool said, they're both great flippers with ball bearings in the pivot, Knife Center even does video reviews if you "Youtube" it.

Just to add Gerber Flatiron/Asada in D2 are pretty decent also.
 
I checked out the Civivi,s and they just didn't flip my switch.
I seem to remember something called the Crag ?
I need to look at again. Thanks for the suggestions !
Anyone else have any ?
 
Artisan Cutlery has a mini tomahawk with a 3" blade for under $50.

that price range would be a Gerber flat iron or an asada....the asada comes in a d2/micarta version and is a flipper on ball bearings
 
A micarta handled, D2 bladed ball bearing flipper cleaver? For 50 bux?

Dang it. Never knew I needed one of these.

I have the CJRB Crag. I love it, but it’s bigger than 3”
 
I just remembered the Tuff lite and mini Tuff lite, ( due to the thread about it).
It has everything I want except being a flipper.
I might try it regardless.
 
I got this one yesterday.... Artisan Corsair in burlap micarta, $40
Blade is 2.95" and D2 steel. It's very light and has a deep carry pocket clip.
And the ring opens like a key ring ( why? I don't know, but I like it )

I really like that, but the snap ring worries me.
I could see it opening and the knife falling, I suppose you could super glue the (snap side) in place tho.

It has a pocket clip too.
I wouldn't use the ring for anything other than a lanyard.
 
How about the Kershaw Static?

It's a ball bearing flipper with good ergos and a cleaver style blade shape.

Edit: Here's mine. It's an exclusive in copper but you get the general idea.

My problem with the Static is no lanyard hole.
The reason I want the lanyard hole is so I can attach it to the retractable lanyard reel I wear on my belt at work, I want to replace the utility knife that now resides their, with a new knife that will do what the utility knife does but looks good and makes me smile while doing it.

So my thoughts have changed since making this post.
The Mastodon or Mastiff will be bought in the near future, I haven't yet decided which one it will be.
