To expand on what we briefly discussed in another thread: I prefer the Bullmastiff over the Mastodon due to the Fuller groove. And my reasons for that are completely due to aesthetics. Otherwise they’re the same knife (unless the Mastodon runs on bearings, because the Bull runs on washers, making it slightly less smooth than other Civivis in my experience; still plenty smooth though).

I have the full sized in my cart (blue!) but have yet to commit. The mini is awesome!

Mastodon does in fact use ceramic bearings.
I also like the look of the fuller, and it can be used to open the knife.
Edit to state the Bull Mastiff has ceramic bearings, the Mastadon use bronze washers.
Sorry my mistake.
