I'd like to have something sorta like a Laci Szabo design I saw years ago. I'd like a .160" Ti slab framelock with a Hossom inspired handle like that on a Spyderco Forrester. I'd like a 7"-8" FFG fighter blade of 3/16" S30V. Stop pin would be 3/16". It should also have a full Ti backspacer, a 3/16" (pref 1/4") pivot, and an oval opening hole. Carry would be kydex with a tek-lok.

First off, does this sound cool? Second, if I could get a run of these made with options for blade steel, grind, and finish... would anybody be interested?

Edit: Found a link to the Szabo. http://www.szaboinc.com/edged_detail.asp?offset=10&ID=103

Trying to grasp the concept , why not just carry it as a fixed blade ? You aren't really saving that much as far as concealment , and you are giving up strength and speed in deployment.

Is this strictly a tacti-cool idea or to serve a purpose ? There is no folding fixed blade , its either a folder , or a fixed blade.

I guess I worded it wrong. The purpose is to carry a folding blade that when open, is larger than a fixed blade of equal blade length. Suppose the blade is 8"... with a knife like this, all you are carrying is 8". A fixed blade would be 8" plus the handle.

Only a suggestion but I think in a blade that large just carrying a fixed blade the positives will outweight the negatives
