If you have large hands, definitely the SuperK.

Wave... yes...
I've carried the Emerson and Karahawk and honestly like the Karahawk a lot better. It never fails to wave and is built like a tank. The Emerson K-bit never impressed me so I sold it. Plus I'd need the larger Emerson anyway as the small one barely fits in my hand.

TheRC man FYI I ordered the fox 599 for my son who is into Cali, it came with the orange trainer, 599, and the training video. I received it one week after my recent order. I disassembled both knives, cleaned up the grease, lubricated with Nano oil and adjusted the pivot. I don't know that much about Cali knife fighting, however I'll tell you this the wave feature works great, as you are pulling the knife out of your pocket the hook on the wave hits the pocket seam and the blade flies open. The orange trainer in built the same weight and dimensions as the 599 and the quality is just as good.
My son says his instructor has the same model, and my son really likes his. BTW it is extremely sharp out of the box.

Final Option, That's good to hear. My plan is still to order the Emerson though. I just don't feel comfortable with the feedback regarding the quality and e-mails I received from Lad. I still cannot comprehend why it would take 7-10 to mail a product that is on the shelf. Print a shipping label using stamps, hand it to the postman, done!

It's to bad that there are no local dealers of folding k-bits in my area. I have looked.

Yesterday I received a knock off Fox trainer in the mail from china. It was only $15 and is giving me the opportunity to try out the design before committing money to it. Then today I received my L.T. Wright Genesis in the mail. I am looking forward to putting that through its paces as well. :-)
