Folding knife with dagger blade

the old boker escrima folder was a dagger folder with room when blade is folded closed to sharpen the top edge and use if wanted. discontinued but not real hard to find one.....

There's also an A/F folder similar to the Escrima. I picked one up a couple of years ago. The top edge is not factory sharpened though.

i have one of those too. s60v steel instead of 440c, both made in Germany. other than the steel and handle fininsh...... theyre basically the same.

the top edge could be sharpened and safe inside the handle due to the design. least in my example it would be.

Yep. O/T: Only knife I own in S60V, so I did a little digging and found one of Larrin Larrin 's excellent articles:

Hello everyone

Thank you very much for the numerous suggestions. So far I like the Archane Design Anti Matter the most. Unfortunately it is not available in my country. But as an example of what I have in mind, it is very good. By the way, only knives with a spring, i.e. switchblades and assisted opening knives etc. are prohibited here. Knives such as the Paragon Warlock are not a problem. But the latter is almost a bit too much of a “gadget” for me. I am looking for a knife with a real dagger blade, which is symmetrical. Knives like the Les George MK3 are also great, but not really what I'm looking for. I would like to have a double-edged knife, but if the rest of the design of a knife convinces me, I can do without it. I also like knives that are a little overbuilt. Knives like the Terzuola Pacifico from Fox knives are less appealing to me. I hope you can now get a better idea of what I'm looking for. I know that this search is not easy and that I have relatively clear ideas. That's why I'm actively searching in a forum, because I can't find a suitable knife myself. I hope I can still find something and look forward to further suggestions. Many thanks in advance and for the suggestions already given!

If you actually want a double edged dagger folder , that is suitable for fighting / self defense , the lock mechanism better be very strong , in every direction .

Most are not !

A Cold Steel Tri-ad Lock or a butterfly / balisong type might work .

A fixed blade would be much preferred . Perhaps a push dagger, if a compact design is needed .

So symmetrical but not necessarily double edged....maybe you need to clarify what the intended use will be. Preferred size or blade length?

I've been collecting knives for a long time and have always wanted a dagger. Unfortunately, fixed daggers are forbidden in my country, but folding ones are allowed. The knife is mainly used for my collection and occasionally carried. I will not use it for self-defense as I do not consider it necessary. However, the knife is of course still a safety for all eventualities, but as I said, this is not really the main reason. I really just want to have a folding dagger for my collection as fixed ones are not allowed here. Butterfly knives and OTF knives are also prohibited. I envision the knife having an overall length of about 7-9". I would really like the Extrema Ratio BD2 Contractor, but it bothers me a lot that the blade of this knife still looks out of the handle when folded, which is dangerous with a double-edged knife. But maybe it helps to give a more accurate picture of my idea. Many thanks for any further feedback!

Additionally, the Gerber Applegate Fairbairn Combat folder in the Boker Gerber set, came with both sides of the blade factory sharpened. These came as a set, with an oak display plaque, so finding just the folder is kinda limited. But not impossible.Image 1.jpgIMG_6943.JPGIMG_6945.JPG

Hello together

I would like to take up this topic again briefly for another question. I am also interested in a classic Italian stiletto knife. But as already mentioned automatic knives are forbidden in my country, it would have to be a manual knife. Does anyone know if there is such a thing and which models would be suitable?

I know that there are various inexpensive Chinese knives of this type. But I would like to have something of high quality and so unfortunately these are out of the question. I would also prefer something classic rather than a modern design. Incidentally, it doesn't necessarily have to have a dagger blade.

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards
Chrigu

Look for one of the old Kissing Crane manual "Stiletto" models like this.

Are these italian made Kissing Crane knives?
Thanks for the help.
Those are the newer Chinese versions.
You’ll need to find an older Italian made knife.
The Kissing Crane knives marked “Stiletto Germany” are Italian made. Also search the auction site for “Falcon Stiletto” those were made by Campolin in Italy.
