Folding Knives For Kitchen Use?

The absolute best folder that I've used for food prep, as previously mentioned quite a few times before, is the Spyderco Military....without a doubt.

I've used my Enduras, Tenacious, Stretch2, Opinel 8, 2011 Voyager, Millie with good results, but most any folder will do the job in a pinch.

I use the Stretch and Opinel as parers in the kitchen also. Very useful cutting up garlic, herbs, small work.

Check out this thread, it's a concept design of a "kitchen folder"

I think this will excel as an edc as well.

titanium military, you mean. i use it on the christmas ham. :D

On occasions like that, I could see using the Ti Millie.
However, because of the slightly heavier weight, I never quite took a liking to it.....I prefer the regular ol' G10 Millie. :D

All the time. My Grippie, Sebbie, whatever's in my pocket. I keep our kitchen knives sharp despite the fact I am married to a serial knife abuser (44 years), but enjoy using a hair splitting edge.

I use 2 kind of blade shapes in the kitchen, slicers and spreaders, my favorite slicer is a mini onslaught and spreader is a Sanrenmu 939.
The slicer is used to cut on a wood cutting board and the spreader on ceramic. ( Its blade shape allows the edge to stay sharp, only the point gets dull )

I'm looking forward to buy the Spydechef by Marcins/Spyderco because it's exactly what i'm looking for.

Benchmade LFK, it slices cheese with ease, 5" blade, interesting design... Wish I had bought a couple more.
