Folding knives with a 4 inch clip point blade?

The SOG SEAL flipper is 3.9" clip-flipper:

I just did a search at KnifeCenter and there are a number of options out there. WE, Bestech, Cold Steel and some others.

Budget? Steel?
Budget: ideally less than $250. Steel: not to picky, just a decent stainless.

no. spartan shf is 3.875" and large sebenza is 3.61"

true 4" blade length folders are pretty rare. wish there were more of them as a 4" folder can do a lot that a 4" fixed blade can do minus beating stuff or being beaten......and much easier to carry.

Hell, a 3.5" blade is fairly rare these days.

I prefer a 3.5-3.6" blade myself and I can't tell you how many times I've had to pass on a new design I like because it's like 3.1" long :( Can't imagine how frustrating it must be to try and find 4" in a design you like.

true. lots of 3.25 range blades, which are okay....the 3" ones and smaller I don't care for myself. I don't need super control ability below 3.25" blade. so its no advantage to me...plus I don't live in a blade length has to be short deal legal area/state....so also doesn't apply to me.

My usual EDC is a Bugout sized folder with a similar sized fixed blade, or a 3.3" fixed blade. I got a Kunwu X Tao in trade and started thinking about larger folders. I have an older Cold Steel Code 4 (too wide handle, too thin), older MT Socom Elite manual (early 2000's?), CS Voyager 4" Clip point (too fat in the pocket) and a Benchmade Mini Rukus (too fat in pocket) and a I have a Buck 110 TRX Slim (narrow in the hand, feels tiny) and they don't see much pocket time. I played with a Microtech Amphibian (I was shocked at how massive it looks in person, but feels great in pocket and in the hand due to the handle contouring/texture), and the Benchmade Adamas, Adira and Crooked River to see how they felt in hand and in the pocket before I figure out which one I want to spend the money on. I really liked the Adamas look, but felt meh in hand; Adira was a bit better. The Amphibian feels best in my hand and pocket, but I like the Crooked River blade shape the best out for a clip point, but the handle gets narrow at the butt end. So now I get to look for an Amphibian or MSI from Microtech since I like reverse tanto blades.

I am very picky handle wise; my hands can cramp or go to sleep if the handle is too small/narrow/thin in use, so it's hard for me to find the balance of comfort and not feeling like I have a brick in my pocket with a larger folder!

I would go to a local store and see if you can handle some in hand first. I was dead set on the Adamas, but it just didn't resonate well with me in hand. The Amphibian looked massive, and that put me off to it originally, but playing with one in hand, I really liked it.

I wear cargo pants/shorts, so the phone is in it's own cargo pocket and my left pocket is for keys, right pocket is for knife. So I guess the clothing you normally wears comes into play! You may very well like a Buck 110 Slim model. Nice and narrow! The ZT0542 looks pretty nice, too!

Those criteria are a hard combo to match.

If you are willing to give slightly on blade length look at the ZT 0308. 3.75", 20CV and a flipper.

Giving up the clip point and a little bit of length the Spyderco Amalgam at 3.8", S30V and a flipper.

Some other options like Sog Seal XR might be workable, depending on how much pocket real estate you want to give up.

Others have brought up several Cold Steel options as well, like the Recon.

I don't have anything in that size so I am just making suggestions versus recommendations.
