Folding Pocket Knife for Everyday Carry

-THICKNESS= thin (less than 0.5 in thick)

 0.5" in thickness is like an axe.

How about a Kabar Dozier? It's 20bucks, extremely light weight, has zytel handles and has a AUS8 blade.

0.5 inch thick, as in the handle, not the blade's thickness.. haha.

Yeah, Im going to try out the KaBar Dozier (maybe the D2)..

Thanks.

Perhaps the Buck Vantage Pro? Comes in S30v and only costs like 40 bucks. Don't recall blade length right at the moment.

I have a Kershaw Leek, it was givin to me as a gift, but its starting to wear out a bit, and I wanted something a little different.
If you were fond of the Leek, they do make some variations in different steels (Damascus, S30V, and Sandvik/D-2 composite)

-Blade LENGTH= 2-3" straight or combo edge
-Blade MATERIAL= something strong/durable
-Handle MATERIAL= plastic, titanium, whatever..
-THICKNESS= thin (less than 0.5 in thick)
-WEIGHT= light (less than 3 oz)
-pocket clip and lanyard hole is a plus
-PRICE= $1-80
There is actually a pretty huge number of good knives that fall into that description.

  • Spyderco Delica
  • Spyderco Centofante 3
  • Spyderco Centofante 4
  • Spyderco Dragonfly
  • Spyderco Salt I
  • Spyderco Tenacious
  • Kershaw Chive
  • Kershaw Scallion
  • Kershaw Zing
  • Benchmade Mini-Griptillian
  • Benchmade Mini-Barrage
And that's just a sampling of my three favorite brands. ;)

Great list. Some of em you mentioned has a blade longer than 3". The Leek is ok but I wanted something different. I do like the Spyderco Salt 1, BM Mini-Grip and Mini-Barrage; however, since its going to be used everyday, I kind of dont want to spend $80+. Something in the $40 range should suffice.

Im going to give the KaBar Dozier folder a try. At $20 it wouldn't hurt..

Kabar's linerlocks are bombproof actions. It's the one folding knife I will say I like. And obviously they are very inexpensive for the quality associated with the company. I love the Warthog II's
