Guy's I'm looking for a good folding saw and would like a few opinions. What have you found to be the best one?

Silky Pocketboy 130 and 170. And if you want to cut big stuff get a Silky Big Boy. Silky isnt just good its the best.

I have the Sven Saw and the What-A-Saw.
They are good enough.
If you get the Sven Saw, get the larger model. The small one really limits your cutting ability. Sven Saw is very light and portable. Some say it is flimsy, but as long as you don't try to bully it, it'll work like a champ.
The What-A-Saw's strong point is that it has 3 blades. Hacksaw, regular (carpenter) saw and big tooth wood saw.
Sorry, I'm not up on my saw tooth terminology.
:D

I have a 7" Folding saw made by Corona that I really like. Got it around my 13th birthday and it has seen tons of use. It's model RS 7041.

Kershaw / Bahco Laplander Folding Saw

I like mine a lot, but the packaging I acquired it in is difficult to find. Now that Kershaw has rebranded it, it is easier to find in the USA. Ray Mears has the Laplander on his site in the UK.

i'm giving a thump's up for the seven saw. just as ebbtide said, don't bully it. it cuts fast, folds up small, and is very light weight. great tool for backpacking!!

I'll second the Silky saws.

I have a bunch of rental properties. No one ever trims trees or bushes, so I've always carried a folding saw in the truck door pocket that gets regular use on the weekends when I'm doing maintenance. I've flat worn out or broken 4 or 5 the last few years. The last time I got a Silky F180. It outcuts everything else I've had, and at about $25 including shipping (on Amazon), it's no more pricey than most others. I was impressed enough to order another one for my B.O.B.

I own the Bahco/Kershaw saw, it's a good little saw, lightweight, fast cutting, can't go wrong. I've also heard nothing but praise for Silky saws though, I'll have to pick one up eventually. :D

I have the Trailblazer collapsible buck saw and while the ting is a bit large and heavy, it's rock solid and cuts like a chainsaw! I love the thing and wouldn't trade it for anything else. I'll be getting a Silky for the backpack, but the Trailblazer is going with me for any tough stuff I might need to handle.

For backpacking, I've carried a Sawvivor since the early 90s. It goes through logs like butter.

I have the Silky Pocketboy 170 and the Bahco Laplander (Kershaw version) and they are both great. If I had to pick between them I would have to go with the Silky as it cuts wood like butter and is very comfortable in the hand.

I have not tried the other folding saws posted, but I do own the gerber saw. I have used it in bird hunting, fishing trips, and also to do work around my yard. It has worked very well and was not to hard on my wallet either. Just my $.02.

I've had great luck with the sliding blade Gerber/Fiskars saw. Kind of like the Opinel of saws, works great, and cheap enough to stash one in the truck, in the daypack, BOB.

I've got a Silky 170 and the Fiskars slide-out saw. If I know I'll be needing a saw, I'll carry the Silky. Otherwise, I carry the Fiskars because it weighs almost nothing, and will do the job. I carry a saw far more than I actually use one.

I have almost all of them. The Silky and the Laplander are both real serous saws, not just something to do the job in a pinch. I have several that Im have not put through their paces so for now I will just recommend those two. I have sed the Buck Tree Saw a little and it worked very well indeed. I will have to check out a few others that you guys have shown here.
