Folding sheath company

I was wondering what people thought I should do in this situation. And when.

I ordered a number of sheaths for folding knives from an army navy type outfit.

When the order came, several items were incorrect (fixed blade sheaths sent instead, e.g.). Other were not what I wanted, and I wanted to return them.

Sent an email.

No reply at first. Called the company and they said hadn't checked emails, but were sending out a ups reply sticker. Also got reply email.

After one week and nothing, I sent everything back on my dime. It's now two weeks on the ups sticker and one week since I shipped back.

Normally, in a good faith situation, I would wait several months to see a refund appear on my credit card statement. But given their original incompetence and the subsequent falsehood, I'm leery.

So two questions:

1) what steps should I take? I'm thinking of contacting Master Card fraud. Yes/no? Anything else?

2) how much time should I/can I give them before I take action?

My thanks for any advice on this.

Time to do a charge back in my opinion. If a company cannot communicate in a reasonable time frame, then that should not be your problem. I had the same kind of prqoblems with the Bladeshop around 3 years ago.

In a good faith situation, THEY should have taken care of it by now. Since there is no good faith on their part, go right ahead and dispute the charge. Don't wait any longer.
