folksy???

Folksy.

We had a kid in the neighboorhood that would take off.
And the same Cop would find him and bring him back to his mother.
No Social Services or social workers.

And because of the way the Cop dealt with the kid and his running away, the kid straighten out.

Folksy..

.. And because of the way the Cop dealt with the kid and his running away, the kid straighten out.

That is because the Cop cared and acted with the folksy compassionism that is so very difficult to find these days in our society.

Thanks neeman. Good story.

Greg,

Folksy means a lot of different things to me. Some times it brings back memories of my great grand father and his gardens and work bench, or going fishing with my father as a kid and cooking the catch in an old cast iron skillet. Or the way the hand painted sign for my girlfriends grandfathers flower shop still hangs in his front yard, where it has stood for the past 50 years, and the way he reaches out his weathered hand to close the sale with a firm shake. It is also the way old timers use what they have to make what they need. And helping where you can, even if you have to do with out. But the most folksy thing to me is passing these values froward.
