Lets play a little game.
I will post a picture of something I did with one of my Beckers.
you do the same thing and post a picture.
Here is the catch you have to use the same knife or at least model for every task. I have about 6 tasks planned.
Also before you start or read ahead ( once it gets going) pick the knife you will use. So you need the knife you think you can do anything with.
after I am done someone else can take over.
This is about getting out using your Beckers or at least one of them, honing your skills, having fun.
I will post the first task in a day or two. Sign up with the knife you will use.

Ill give it a go, but cant kick in until the weekend - im nominating my BK-24..

This sounds like fun!

I guess I will use my BK-2 since I love it so much.

Jeremy

I'll get in on this... Lets go with my BK2... It is the newest member of the family and needs some love... or abuse... whichever...

I'm going to guess the 24 won't be much of a competitor on this, but I'll throw my name in the ring as well. Why not?

We have more interest then I thought
I will post the first one tomorrow. It will be easy, :)
I think most should be no trouble with any Becker. Some are easier with a small blade but others a larger blade would be nice.
I still haven't said what I used. Hint someone above picked the same knife.

Dresnor, not sure how long you have had that Sig line but you got my vote. Good luck.

Like I said the first one is easy. Just make a pile of shavings.

The bigger the better.

I made these by sticking my 4 in a block of wood & pulling the wood against the curve of the blade.
I picked the 4 because Ethan designed it to be a good do everything knife & I wanted to see how well I could use it. I had done most of the tasks with it before I thought of making a thread.
Lets see what you got.

I am going to post the next task on Tuesday,
this one is better suited to a little larger blade. Lots of ways to get a small blade do the work of a larger one.
Still time post post a photo of the first task.

OK. First the set up of gloves, wood, 13 (which I didn't sharpen so it was dull as poop), and a fire steel.

Batoned some smaller sticks so I could stick the 13 in the wood and make shavings by moving the wood instead of the 13. Like you did with the 4.

Figured I wouldn't let a pile of shavings go to waste and made a little fire by striking the steel with the 13.

Of course, post em when you got em. No time limit.
I just want to see some Beckers doing some work, & maybe learn something . Or try something new.
What I really want to see is Ethan play with his RBK. That would be cool.

Then get him to sign up for the thread!

Haven't had a chance to go wood hunting yet. Will try and see what I can grab over the weekend when time permits.
