So I received my Rodent Solution less than three days ago, and I've been carrying it ever since.
Working in a restaurant for about four years my knives get used regularly for food preparation, (my own not patrons.) Tonight I had time off from work enough to make dinner for my 9 month pregnant wife.
The thick stock and hefty grip made quick work of bell peppers and sirloin, while stove made quick work of the eggs and rice. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the slicing ability of this knife after some time on the WorkSharp.

In conclusion the point of this thread is to show off your favorite/current EDC blade performing any food prep you come across.
I look forward to seeing some tasty meals and sexy blades!

If this is redundant or does not belong, mods feel free to move/delete it.

Cooking with EDCs is fun! Thanks for starting this thread.

Thanks Rennd it really was! I know the finished product photo wasn't too great but it's best not to keep her waiting these days.
No problem dogstar! I knew I wasn't the only one who took mass glamour shots while cooking.
And those dishes both look might good...maybe minus the lettuce.
I'm into greens and all but lettuce just never sat right with me.

Knives that I pocket carry that I found to be good in food prep... Spyderco has them in spades. Tenacious (very awesome at prep), Stretch, Endura, Millie, Pacific Salt serrated, Mule team, Manix LWT, and even the Delica as a paring knife. I bet a Resilience (which I never owned) would be a great impromptu kitchen knife. BM 710 is cool too.

Opinel also obviously but I don't actually EDC it so it doesn't stay true to the topic.

Sorry no pics :(

Stay Sharp you're giving me Spydie fever! I don't own one yet and you're reminding me that's a bad thing.
AntDog that is some classy cookin there, really nice to see a more hard-use approach to food prep.
Rubberdog is that pork tenderloin? Whatever it is it's calling to me with meaty goodness.

Let's see some more pics/hear some more stories!
I know you gotta eat sometime, knife pondering doesn't suffice as sustenance...yet.

My Schrade 5OT is my favorite knife for potatoes and chopping.

For chicken and other meat, I like the Case 316-5 pictured, or my Buck 110, not pictured.

For general EDC food prep though, it's the Opinel all the way. The picture is of an 8, long since replaced with 9, which does even better with food. It can reach the last bit of Nutella, which is often important. Triple bonus points, it doesn't scare people.

Sorry for the lame photos earlier, but that's all I had with me to eat! And I didn't have a can opener.... That thing has probably opened thousands of cans....

Ok here's a couple of photos that are more what you're looking for. Here is my wife cutting up tomatoes for burgers with a Rat 2:

Note all the bacon wrapped, cream cheese stuffed jalapeños in the background:

AntDog the can shot was honestly great! I loved seeing an outside the can example, we all don't have commercial kitchens at our disposal ya know. Those jalapeños are probably the most appetizing thing so far by my standards, cream cheese mm.
And eschwebach I'd never seen an Aitor before , after some research I'm interested.. Is that the larger model or mid-size maybe.

Pinnah I can't tell but do you leave you're opinels patina'd or do you keep them polished?
I was waiting to hear about or see a Buck 110 , I knew if wouldn't be long.

Anything FFG - especially by Spyderco - works great for food prep whether in the kitchen or out of doors.

I snapped some pics of my wife cutting up lettuce tonight before dinner... I tried to be incognito and get candid shots, but she caught me!

She was using my Greco Companion in A2 tool steel. It's sharp as hell, and makes an alright kitchen knife. And yes, I do carry it pretty often.

I don't have a picture, but for good prep I use my Spyderco Resilience. The size is great, it's sharp and easy to sharpen (8cr13mov), easy to get a good grip on it and I don't know, I love it

Yes Lance23 you were quite right, it is smoked pork fillet that I sliced with my Rat 2, here's another shot:

And one of me slicing some biltong (beef jerky) at the pub:
