Pics of your favorite would be great

I would go with a Spyderco Endura. Awesome slicer for food prep and just an awesome knife all around.

If you do some searches, these exact threads come up about once a week, and have a bunch of examples. That said, I have a somewhat uncommon folder I have been using for food prep recently. The Manly Comrade is a very well put together knife and a heck of a slicer!

Spyderco spidie chef by Slysz.

I haven't tried one but it sounds like something you're looking for.

Gary (G2) has a great review of these knives on the reviews forum if you'd like more info.

I tend to stick with French examples. Currently it's an Opinel No.8 or No.10. In the past I've carried a Laguiole and I've always wanted a Le Thiers, but never bought one.

I have one of these, Eka camp knife, they are discontinued, but they pop up now and again on the auctions sites etc,,

Chisel ground & a lock-back.
