Foot hammer or "oliver" hammer design, purple is the spring, blue is the dies/pillow block bearings, teal is the hammer arm, red is the hammer head and anvil both solid 2 3/4" (what I have on hand), green are the gussets, black and grey are the actuator pedal/assembly, dark green/blue is the pivot/axle. Questions comments suggestions welcome. Won't have the funds/assetts to build a powered version, plus I like the foot hammers
. Anvil is 3 feet long, hammer is 1 foot long.
Anvil and hammer are both made from 2 3/4 round solid, got that in a trade awhile back. I will probably amend the design to make the hammer assembly not be self supported by the anvil, and have a peice of pipe coming down to the base holding it up.
