Footwear.

I got a pair of Merrell Moab mid-height hikers for Christmas. these are Super light !!! I'll wera these on the warm days (spring~summer) I wear my Wolverine Whitetail hunters for the rest of the time. These are good boots, supposed to be a stalker boot for bow hunting, 2oog thinsulate & 100%H2O proof & have ScentLoc tech. liners.

I like workboots with fiberglass plate and toe. I use them in the field when at work and for hiking. I fully agree with Misanthropist. You may not need heavy boots most of the time, but it sure is nice to have them when you need them.

I have worn a pair of kayland boots for two years, and they are the most comfortable boots I have worn. I am very perticular about boots.

I cannpt stand heavy boots. I have never seen a need for them, I had a pair of Asolo Fugitive's and they were ok, but they crushed my feet! I don't have wide feet and they were aweful, I am sure if they made wides they would be amazing though. I just picked up a pair of these:

and wore them throughout this past weekend camping in Idyllwild, Ca and they were amazing! Light flexible with ankle support, water proof, light, comfortable. Did I mention light and comfortable? I like 'em

I just bought a pair of Merrell Moab XCR's with the Gore-Tex liner yesterday and of all my other boots (Wolverine, Vasque, Dr. Martens) these just feel awesome. So far they are awesome for comfort. I bought them for when I go out surveying for my job so I needed something light, waterproof and rugged so I guess we will just have to wait and see.
