For 110 collectors - there is a build out dropping on 2/5

Mine isn't bad, but the tip is perilously close to being open air when closed. When running my finger along the scales near the tip, I receive a slight poke. I'm debating whether it's worth sending back. Otherwise, lockup is good, blade was sharp, and she's a looker!

Good looking blade. Gonna grab me a 110 pro one of these days, I've always loved the idea of classic knives upgraded with clips and improved steel, just havent gotten around to one yet.

I would think running a diamond file across the heel would drop the tip. It should only take a miniscule amount given the radius difference between the heel & tip. Has anyone tried something like this?

I have both the 110 and 112 Slim Pro TRX. I used to carry these in my left front pocket until I got bit pushing a new (and thus stiff) leather wallet into that pocket. It caught the thumb stud, pulled it forward just enough to give me a gash. It bled a bit on the Walmart floor until I wrapped it with the receipt paper; swapped that for some tape back at the SUV. After a bit of a gap, I'm back to carrying them again. But, I now carry them in the right front pocket where the blade would open into the back seam of the pocket if anything were to catch on the thumb stud, which is also much less likely. It seems to work quite nicely in that location. So, I still like them even with the thumb stud.
