One of my Bowie-inspired blades - O-1 carbon steel 6inch blade, flat ground, chisel-ground sharpened clip up the top, filework on the spine, edge quench, polished clip and spine, 800grit satin hand rub on the bevels, oval guard and a long slender "Kasper-concept" handle ofmortised and mated black canvas Micarta and brass fittings. The joint seams are invisible. The scabbard is rigid leather overlaid with snakeskin. The retention snap is adjustable / replaceable and the beltslot is Kydex reinforced. Lots of belly, the edge is convex and "progressive." Ie.- sliver thin at the ricasso (almost zero-edge)becoming a bit thicker towards the tip for added strength.

Sorry about the slightly grayed-out picture. ?The camera couldn't do any better. Comments ?

Cheers.

To me, this is a particularly nice knife. It just has that look to it that appeals to me a lot. I would like to see a few of your knives with African Blackwood or antler handles. I see from your web site that you use these materials.
