With safety too! Some other models with assisted opening as well, but I know the RAT is probably the most popular here.

Any idea on price? I'll absolutely have to get a few.

I've had a rat 1, XM1 and still have an older pardue utilitac (2nd from top), not sure the assist was really needed though as they all flew open easily via the thumbstuds... YMMV :foot::D

Not sure. I sent them a message on Facebook asking about G10 or colored scales on the Utilitac and they tood me to watch for this picture.

I agree assisted opening isn't really needed for most of their knives. I would like to see an assisted studless flipper Utilitac II though.

On the fourth and fifth knives down, are those seat belt cutters on the back end, or...?

Variety is great but my RATs are so easy to flick open...I can't imagine wanting an AO model.

Anybody know when to expect when these will be available??? I see the rat 1 listed on their site. But I was hoping for a rat 2 or tac 2 in AO.

I thought I seen it for around $50 somewhere for pre order. I could be wrong.

KC have them in pre-order for $47.95, plain edge. Handle material is listed as "Black G-10" but on the logos below the description there is "Zytel" sign so I'm not sure if this is real G-10...

I might get it for gits and shiggles. My RAT 1 opens faster than my ZTs do, so AO is kinda unnecessary on it, but what the hell.

I have to agree that the AO isn't a needed thing. But with how nice they have the non AO designed you can't help but wonder how they have done with their new stuff.

Yep, I'll be buying one. Not really necessary, but I don't see how it could go wrong. I'm curious about the mechanism, I haven't been able to find any details on it.
