Yeah, I don't see it as mall ninja, any more than any other assisted knife. It's a solid, no frills design that I think has wide appeal and is capable of a broad range of tasks.

It's a very common misconception that AO is for mall ninjas and real men don't need such gimmicks but the truth is that AO have very sensible purpose in some cases, obviously not everyone is familiar with it.
I'm looking forward to the AO RAT not because of those principles, but because my hand's fine motor skills are not so good all the time, I have some damaged muscles and tendons on my hands and AO is great feature for me,
so that's why I'll get one, there is nothing better than nice all around knife with AO and if you don't like it - disable it, but your remark is completely out of place, there are passengers for every train, sort of speak...
Lol, the Randall designed knife is mall ninja? You must carry a sharpened rock lashed to a wood stick if you think the RAT is mall ninja.
