It was in today's KC mailer, here's a link.

I love a good smatchet, don't get me wrong, I'm just not sure I would ever pony up two grand for a fancy smatchet from Boker . . .

It actually looks functional. With a 2K price tag and damascus steel, it will be hanging on someone's wall or in someone's safe. Definitely not chopping on something in the woods...

Not sure? I can say for a certainty, unless the melt value happened to be higher than 2k, that I'd never pay 2k for a fancy Boker Smatchet.

It would make a great prop for Zombieland though. :D

Years ago (1990ish) Randall made a smatchet for one of their big dealers. To this day, I wish I had ponied up the $300-$350 for it. It may have been $400... don't really recall.

I suspect the reason I didn't buy it that day was I bought one or two other Randalls and I still have no idea what I would use it for. ;)

I was trying to be polite . . . ;)

heck of a useful tool all around, i want my smatch tough enough to dig, chop, and anything in between
to me, if it's not actually used, ...well it's just a shame, and wasteful in a visceral sense - i know i know it's art & can be treated as art, but still
