For anyone thinking of purchasing a AXE HAMMER

Axe Hammer is a great blade. A tribute to an American hero. The Axelson family are great people and I consider it an honor to know them.

Wow!!! really awesome knife!!! I think I may need one! whats the best way to get one? Exchange??? It looks like a BATEC with more realestate :)

Nice knife!
You know your fellow Aussie Rob Stanley, has the courtesy to shave his legs with his Busse knives...just sayin'

Thx Garth!!! He is a helluva man... I wish more could be done for him and our brothers who have fallen. Home of the free, land of the brave because of men like him! I wonder if Busse will ever come out with a tribute series to honor our forefathers and war heros from the past??? Maybe like a 1776 bayonet, follwed by a Civil War Cutlass or a WWI Short Sword and WWII fighting knife then Vietnam etc... It would be an honor to own those!

Just received mine yesterday. While it is a fantastic knife, beast is not the word I would use. It is one of the abused (<- autocorrect from BUSSE, but it is almost fitting, so I had to leave it) blades that is fairly thin, which is the reason I got it (other than it is a tribute knife). I agree the grip is fantastic. I too am a big fan of the "TAC" handle-shape. The size of it is just right. The only thing I'd change at all is make the choice just a little smaller. It is gigantic! I understand the reason, though, I think. I think it is to make room for easy use while wearing gloves. So, I can live with it. It has a specific purpose. It is definitely a keeper, and I'd second the recommendation to jump on it while you can.

Question: are the scales on the CG "desert storm?" Or sandstorm?

I agree with the choil. But other than that it is overall fantastic. It still has enough blade length though even with the choil in my opinion.

Got any pics of yours?

Pretty sure its sandstorm g10 man.

Love my Axe Hammer
And really love the Axelson's.
They are great people doing a great thing, glad to be a small part of it.

Thank you for the Great knife and Great cause, Axelson/Busse.

I agree, still has plenty of blade length. And I love that it is a clip point.

If I'm not mistaken, the sheath is a Buy Brown. Correct? It is a great sheath. I just have to figure out how to set it up for me. I'm short enough that with the sheath riding as low as possible on the Tek-Lol, the butt is still sticking me in the ribs. That's why you see a UKE on it right now. But the sheath is right enough that the leather belt loop is not optimum, at least not as a dangler. But the sheath is so nice, I think I need to contact Mr. Brown about doing a sheath for my Hellrazor.

Beat on mine a little yesterday evening, battoning wood to get a fire started in our fire pit. Lots of pine, but about 3-4 inches in diameter. Coating stood up well, but isn't so crinkly anymore. Stayed sharp and stood up well to the usage. I think this is one of the best Busses I've purchased. I LOVE it.

Photo-sh** isn't cooperating. Will post later.

Ok, lets see if Tapatalk works.…

This is after pretty extensive beating to baton wood for the fire pit.

Wow great to hear! I think its a good choice for a one tool option based on its size and choil. I cant wait to beat mine and see what she can do.

Looking forward to the pics^ !

I'll try again tomorrow. I'm going to have to re-read the tutorial "10 steps to" good pictures, using IMGUR, IIRC. I'm fed up with photobucket. I tried numerous ways, and I couldn't get it to cooperate today.

Im not so good with technology and uploading photos but Imgur & that tutorial is ridiculously easy and you dont even need an account. Goodluck.

The AXE is a great blade, DaveB also offers a drop attachment (a couple actually) that may help get the butt of it out of your ribs mate ... :D

Not of the AXE mate, I have more knives than I have time to use them, and like many here I have a few favourites that just get grabbed every time I head bush.
