i was thinking, how do you choose to open your buck, two hands, or just a one hand flip/drop ?
i prefer to drop the handle by holding the blade, or to let the end of handle catch in the sheath and then pull the blade
i believe that sometimes its opened with 2 hands, sometimes with one, depending on the situation but im asking what do you prefer and use most
thanks

when younger i did as you, hold blade and handle flip - drop or hook and pull

since i cut my thumb in half i do a two hand pull.
but, my 110 seems i find i carry it less and less!

i find i am exploring edc with a number of other knives as i get older..
does any one else find this happening?

i have a folding alpha hunter and the tension is so light,
i can flick ever so lightly and it is open and locked..
i like it best for that..
but it is large and the general public is "shocked" at what they can only see as a
weapon..

thanks for the reply, sorry about your thumb..i know the feeling, with some balisongs...
the general "shock" , laws and so on, its what makes me carry something lighter than those beautiful knives
hower i do carry them whenever i get the chance, outdoor mostly

334dave, I also did carry an Aplha Hunter then a Folding Kalinga both have a lot of shock value. I now use an Alpha Dorado as an EDC and it is less shocking.

It took me a lot of searching but I was able to order some on line a while back. Bought many of them, they were cheap ($3 or so) and I wanted enough to make sure I didn't run out. Was a bit bummed that they are chinese made versions but I didn't know that till they came in.

However, sadly, I can't find the place I bought them from now. Sorry.

Two hands here as well. Interesting that Dave should mention the folding Alpha Hunter, because as often as not, the 277 is a daily carry for me. I agree that the blade opening is easy to 'flick' and the 277 is the smoothest opening knife that I own.

Two hands - open or close - when they work well enough. CTS has driven me towards a Spydie Native - or a small fb (BR Huntsman) as a frequent 'go to' EDC knife, although I always carry a Buck of some kind - 301, 110, or 419 - as 'backup'.

If I'm carrying a 110 I use a two hand technique. If I need a one hand opening knife, I carry my Buck/Mayo TNT.

Back in 1977 when I was a sacker/stocker at the Pig.I used to flip it open one handed, to cut open boxes. But now I use 2 hands most of the time.

I been opening and closing my 110's since my first new two dot back in the 70's. Something I picked up in one of Donald Hamilton's Matt Helm series.
