for buck 110 users ...opening

Two handed, except one I put a one arm bandit on. In NY flicking them open even by holding the blade makes them an illegal gravity knife, so not good to do that in piblic here....

I recently installed a "Flick-it" on my 110....from another knife. Sadly these aren't made anymore....(no screws, all spring metal - the best of 80's technology!) :p

I open my 110 using just thumb pressure and thru the years its gotten very agreeable. At the 20 yr.reunion that was the knife I carried. But Dave like you I'm starting to carry a 277 that I like very well. It opens real nice. I'll see how this plays out.DM

It must be something in the water, because I find myself sporting a 277 more and more often as well.

Dave, I know what you mean about public sentiment when flicking open a 110 at a grocery store to cut cardboard. Here, nobody says much espically when my wife does it. So is it gender driven? Also, I find those wearing spiked collars w/ tatoos and piercings offensive and you can bet NO ONE says a word to them. So, whats the real deal here?
I'll carry what I want, open it when I want with respect for others. For I'm a tax paying U.S. citizen in good standing.---Your right the 277 opens soooo smooth, its very strong and of correct size for most general use.
My wife just told me to chill out. DM

Well I use my 110 as a tool on the job, for as long as I can remember I have opened it one handed with just my thumb on the side of the blade. If by chance my hands are covered with wire pulling soap then it is pushed open slightly and the point caught on my tool belt. Used this BUCK long enough to have had the blade changed out three times. Do I feel guilty, maybe, that is why I keep buying new BUCK’s and tell myself I am going to use this one, just to give it away as a gift, or to thank someone or just save it. Never did need a hole or stud.
On the job one day newbie saw me use my knife and he proceeded to tell all that he could just flick his knife open one handed as well, on the fourth try it did come open but it flew across the shop and stuck in the wall. Kershaw Black Horse If I remember but I know he dose because we remind him.

I like the 110 also, but find that I carry a 277 some of the time. I found some OAB at Buck while there for the 20 year reunion. I installed one on most of my EDC 110's :thumbup: HL

Two hands.

Stopped doing one-handed drop/flip when I lost my grip and removed a neat divot from my forefinger.

Strictly two-handed now, unless I can find a One-Armed Bandit gizmo.

Arfin, Look carefully at those OAB's for many look like an unsightly wart after installed. If thats the case I'd stick w/ two handed but your free to decide.DM
