I've only been once, years ago, and tomorrow I'm taking two friends for their first time, and I know a bunch of you guys and gals are unofficial authorities on the place - so what are your comments and suggestions? assume we like anything/everything good.

thanks in advance.

First visit was at Blade '08. I think my best suggestion is to remember this:
Salad is what food eats. :D

I'd avoid most of the salad buffet and save the room for the good stuff. ;)

What he said. The salad bar is impressive, but go easy on it to save room for the meat. You can always go back for salad later. My favorite item at churrascarria is the parmesan crusted beef tenderloin.

Well, if you are a cardiac patient like me, the salad bar is very well stocked, including the outstanding smoked salmon. That stuff on the skewers will kill ya'!

I have seen there sign around town and wondered if they were any good as well!

The little biscuit things they bring to the table are awesome, but it's a trap. Only eat one, it is an evil attempt to fill you up before the skewers start coming out.

Also, I know the concept of fried bananas seems weird to some people. Don't be scared, they are awesome.

Take a knife and take some pics to remember the Holy experience.

Chow down boys,

Garth

never been to Fogo, but went down to Rio a couple years ago and Brazilians are all about the picanha. It’s a small piece of meat from the back hump of the cow. Throw in some cachaca and you’ve got a heck of a party.

Fried bananas ain't weird if you're Latino. We eat platanos maduro with our rice and beans. If you ain't had then, you're in for a treat!

nothing odd about fried bananas to me, I have Dominican and Brazilian friends.

So the lamb shops, parm encrusted loin, smoked salmon, biscuits, and bananas...

Keep the suggestions coming, we have a 5p reservation to grub like mad men.

I think in Atlanta they call it the house sirloin.:thumbup: It's awesome. Also the filet is great and they have some kind of garlic roast thats good too.

REALLY !!!!!

No Cuban restaurants and no beef from Argentina! I miss going into a Cuban butcher shop and only having to say 'churrasco' for the best skirt steak there is.

Up here, it's all Angus, overpriced, dry, and little taste.:(

sound like fogo's is just like our braza's resturant in durham, if it is, man you are in for a heck of a treat, they should do the cinamon fired pineapple at the end and that is too awesome, also they should have bananas foster or creme brulee at the end, man that stuff is the cats meow.

You got to go to the salad bar to get the smoked salmon and some great cheese. I use these to cleanse the palate between the different meat courses. Oh, and drink lightly when you're there. Leave the heavy drinkin for later.

Barb-B-Q says the parm crusted tenderloin was her favorite. My least favorites were the poultry. Who slipped the white meat in with the bloody rare meat.

That was fried nanner? No wonder it tasted funny with sour cream and butter;)

Great stuff your pie hole place:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Eat everything. But make sure not to fill up on the salad bar or those tasty buttery biscuits. Maybe have a drink before the food comes out to ensure you are nice and hungry. It is all so very very good.
