Just wondering if anybody out there has a piece of gear that they have been EDCing for years. I know a lot of people go SAK and never go back, but I've posted this in Gear because I'd like to hear about it no matter what it is: flashlight, phone, knife, hat, you name it. Pics are good, but your car doesn't count as part of you EDC! Let's keep it to things you wear, pocket, stow in your pack, or carry in your hand.

Although if your a lumberjack, then I suppose a chainsaw counts as part of your daily carry.....

My coyote brown Spec-Ops THE wallet JR, Schrade tac pen, and a red bandanna. Every day, everywhere. Never changes.

I carry a Victorinox Swiss Champ (yes, it's overkill) since I was in the army, must be close to 15 years now. As with everything, use tools correctly, and they should last.

ARC AAA premium on my key ring for 5+ years now. It still works well but the anodising is finally starting to wear.

I can't think of one thing. Well, not something I really like or would recommend. I guess my Spyderco Native. Lately it's been a swiss champ. But I haven't used it's large blade yet. Only the little one. I can't yet sharpen it. Nothing I've tried works. With the Native, I can touch it up in about 30 seconds. The blade and scales have worn very well.

Vic SuperChamp since 92 (I think?), Benchmade 330 since they came out, a little Uncle Henry 3 blade "pen knife" that my wife gave me back in the early 80's.

A P-38 that has been in my wallet for almost a 45 years, and has been used as a screw driver, light pry tool, and has opened some can's along the way.

A Buck 301 stockman bought in 1967, and semi retired in the mid 1990's, still is in condition to be used.

A Ruger standard model .22 pistol bought in the 1960's for 39.95 new, has been in steady service. My kids learned to shoot on that gun, and my grandkids learned to shoot on that gun. That gun has done camp pot duty, traveled all over with the family on cross country trips, and I can't begin to guess how many tens of thousands of rounds of ammo have been through it. Other guns have come and gone, but I'd never get rid of that Ruger!

Carl.

Chrome Fisher Space Pen in a little leather holster. Same pen, but on its 4th refill after 11 years in the pocket.

The EDC knife changes, but the Fisher just rolls along.

Fisher Bullet pen. Since the mid 90s.

Sadly, not the same pen. I think I am on my third or fourth. But I have had it for the last 10 years.

G-Shock Mudman has been on my wrist for 3 years straight and a translucent blue SAK Classic for 4 1/2 are my two steadiest pieces of gear.

NovaTac 120P-8 years
Bill's Custom Case Urban Wallet in Black Cordura-they last about 5 years.
Casio G-Shock Black Spots-wearing for about 8 years

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Since I got into knives/multitools, it is not an EDC item anymore, but before that, I carried a Victorinox Soldier every day in my pocket.

My current true EDC item is a black leather wallet, that is with me at all time.

For work I carry an old laptop rucksack with me. I bought it about 6 or 7 years ago. In it is always a TI-36X Solar calculator that I bought when I was still at university, about 12 years ago. Also a few Parker ballpens are always in it.

Fisher Bullet pen. I'd have had the same one for many years, I'm sure-if I could stop losing them. Been through at least 4 or 5, but that's not the fault of the pens.
Seiko Black Monster-6 years.
The stuff on my keyring:
Arc AAA-P -9 years.
Victorinox Classic -8 years, then replaced last year. Nothing was wrong with it except the silver logo coming off, just got a different color.
Atwood whistle-7 years.

I no longer carry it regularly, but have had the same kubaton for 19 years.
