I am needing to sale a few knives or some other elastic purchases to make up for money I've spent in the last 2 weeks repairing my vehicle. I hate to do it, and it's not mandatory, but I'm tired of just squeezing by and having to monitor every expense. So the first knife I'm offering for sale is this small hunter from A.J. Fannin.
The A.J. Fannin J-Hunter is a small hunting knife he designed for friends that drew Elk tags. It is popular with the people that have used it, and A.J. did a fine job developing a knife that is as useful as it is beautiful. The knife has red liners, and a full tapered tang with great balance. I bought this one a few weeks ago, it's pretty much new. I haven't used it for anything besides cutting paper, but it did sit in its sheath for a year at the LGS where is was before I got it.
I have nitpicked a few aspects of the knife - like I think the convexed tip could be shinier and finished more consistently, there are some small pores in the stabilized Walnut, and the sheath doesn't look brand new - but the knife is in better shaped than most of the other new custom knives I have purchased directly from makers, I have been told that the Walnut is very good and that small pores are normal, and the sheath has just aged a bit. I am including pictures, so judge everything for yourself and be sure this is what you want before buying.
I will take $225 total for this knife (that includes shipping and PayPal fee). Payment should be sent PayPal goods and services. I have good feedback here, and have 100% feedback on a couple other exchanges if you need any additional reference. If I can manage to make some breathing room financially, I will be ending this listing and keeping the knife. You can reach me through PM. First unconditional I'll take it in this thread gets preference, unless a buyer that wishes to remain anonymous has the quicker time stamp by a measurable amount. I will ship anywhere in the U.S., but you must be 18 years or older, and it's up to you to check your local laws.
