Up for sale is an extremely scarce early Bardsley Combat Dagger, featuring his full hollow-handle construction, deep knurling, threaded pommel with O-ring, and the original period-correct leather sheath.
These early hollow-handle Bardsleys were produced in very limited numbers in the mid-1970s to early 1980s, and do not show up on the secondary market often. This is not a later solid-handle Bardsley — it is the more desirable lathe-turned hollow model.
Specs
This is one of the cleanest early Bardsley fighters I've seen. The hollow-handle models are rarely seen for sale and are highly sought after among collectors of early American custom combat knives (Lile, Randall 18, Chris Reeve one-piece era).
The threading inside the handle is crisp and perfectly concentric, consistent with Bardsley’s early hand-lathe work. The original O-ring is present and in great shape. The blade finish is uniform, and the grind lines are classic Bardsley — clean and perfectly centered.
The sheath is original to the knife, and the DOT snap instruction tag is still attached, which is extremely uncommon.
