I just want to make sure I understand the belt mount method and location. It easily goes from belt to belt and would ride above my left pant pocket while it waits for my right hand to draw it out to play. Correct?

yea you can take the sheath off your belt with out undoing the belt. It's sits to the left of your belt buckle(on your left side anyway) and you drawl it with your right hand.
