Very Impressive Brad ! what is length closed ? open ?
does the "work" on blade spine have a specific function besides esthetics ?
roland

The blade length is 3 1/4" from the tip to the very front of the bolster. Overall length is 7 3/4" open. The machine work on the blade back was computer designed by me to counter balance the material removed when the blade grind is made, thus balancing it in the X axis. My design also mirrors the machine work on the frame in both the open and closed positions with that on the blade, and also serves to balance out the material removed in the scalloped out finger grooves, again helping to balance the X and Y axis there. This is something I have yet to see anywhere but in my design, and when I built this knife in my 3D BobCAD program, it was only my second design. It was very costly to run , so there were only 50 made. This is one of the last few sets of parts remaining from the first run.

You're going to love this knife. I have a similar one, although without the beautiful antique furniture. :)

Shawn, If you like I can redecorate that piece for you and add any special touches you like! Just let me know and I will work some majic.......

Brad

Brad, i don't think any alteration to Shawn's knife is needed. Shawn just needs to buy another one from you.;) roland

He has been trying to do just that! I think I need those arms that Dr. Octavious had in spiderman to keep up! :D

LOL! :D I like the gun metal gray version I have. It is very neat looking in a mean, mechanical way. It's one of the few knives that I actually carry. I rotate it out with a Reeve Umnumzaan and a Kershaw 1910 R.A.M. (I know, I know...what a $60 Kershaw doing in with these other two?). Hey, Kershaw did something right with their 1910 design. It's a great flipper.

Anyway, I like my Gauntlet and am already planning future Fairall purchases. :p
