Hi, For sale is a Bowie Knife. Blade is 10.5" overall length is 16". Blade is hand forged from W-2, clayed and water quenched. Guard and spacer are heat blued, twisted w's Damascus, handle is stabilized mesquite burl. Blade has very active hamon with beautiful chatoyance, unfortunately photos don't do it justice.
The knife has one flaw, there is a sight warp towards the tip of the blade. It is not obvious and is only noticeable looking straight down the edge. Other than that the fit and finish is very good, if not for the warp this would be one of my J.S. test knives.
I am asking $550 plus shipping ($25- priority w/ insurance) Payment is to be made through Paypal.

Beautiful! Attractive blued guard/spacer, very nice contoured burl, blade profile and hamon!

Hi, I just wanted to post a couple different pics. Sorry for the poor photo quality, hopefully there is enough here to get a sense of the knife and it's fit and finish. I would like to add that this hamon is really quite nice, great activity and excellent chatoyancy. It also has a subtle utsuri, something you don't see to often, though there is no way I can photograph it. Overall I would say that this knife is probably my best work to date, the hamon is certainly my personal favorite.
