For sale or trade is a knife from Wild Boar Blades. The makers name is Ray Simonson. The knife is called "Sgian Dubh". The Knife has a 4" blade 9 1/4" length, is made from 1084 High carbon steel Damascus twist with a HRC 58. It comes with a decorative ferrule, the handle is European Red Stag. It comes with decorative sheath from the maker as well.

My younger sister bought me this knife for my birthday. We are part Scottish and she is really into our family tree. The name comes from the Gaelic sgian dubh meaning "black knife", "Sgian Dubh" is a Scottish ceremonial knife worn as part of the modern Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt.

She paid 475.00 from the maker. It really isn't quite what I am interested in collecting. I would like to sell it outright or trade it for something else. I have posted the makers pictures of the exact knife I have, the sheath is the one on the left in the picture of three. I've also posted a link to the makers site for you to see the knife there.

I would take 400.00 cash for the knife and sheath or 475.00 trade value. The knives I'm interested in for a trade, either full or partial, +/- some cash are as follows.

Busse FBM
Busse FSH
Busse SFNO satin or Double Cut with Magnum G10
Hinderer XM-18
Strider SMF

The first "I will take it" in this thread gets the knife. To discuss possible trades either email or PM me. Money order would be preferred, paypal is +3.5% to cover fees. Shipping and insurance is an extra $15.00.

(The exact knife I have is on this page towards the bottom and is listed as item D1 "www dot wildboarblades dot com/sgian_dudh dot htm")

Thanks for looking, Les.
