Thankyou J-siah, many folks think because it's so pretty that it is not a working knife, but just the opposite is true. Stellite 6K is a heavy duty material often used for hard facing excavation equipment buckets.
It is pretty, polishes up to a beautiful "High Lustre" finish, you can actually see some of the mineral pattern in the blade. It's got a soft, rich finish.
A few of our customers have Stellite 6K knives and swear by them. Actually we have a kitchen knife customer who has one and swears at it because Stellite 6K is non magnetic and she has to put it in the drawer instead of the magnetic strip on the side of her cupboard
