For the money, Spyderco Endura best folder ever ?

There is no "best", but certainly the Endura gives good value for the money.

I think the best value folder out there is the Manix 2. They can be had for 65 bucks. G10, excellent ergos, 154CM and a sick locking system is hard to beat at that price. Ive never owned an endura but I have owned a delica and the Manix 2 was superior in every way for costing all of like 15 dollars more.

The endura is a fine knife and I'm glad I finally own one. However, in that basic price range I actually still prefer my griptilian as well as my American lawman. Both just feel better in my hands.

I'm just happy the Endura3's ergos work so well for me. I've been carrying Enduras since they first came out. I'm not worried about survival or what an operator carries, it's just a modern replacement for the old slipjoints I had as a kid.

The only thing I don't like is the rivets, but other than that it is a nice knife.

I have an old delica with the rivets and no metal liners. I wanted to tighten up the blade play in it so I put in a vice. Well I was stupid and tightened it up so much it wouldnt open at all. So I drilled the head off one of the rivets, replaced the head with super glue. That was about 6 years ago and it's still just fine.

I've had a few and just couldn't warm up to them.. the Military is my favorite when it comes to best folder value. Lots of knife for $100 .. and a fit/feel you can't put a price on.

Hmmm do you think you tightened the vice too much or that the vice cannot help fix blade play. My couple of spyderco's all seem to have a fair amount of blade play and this seems like a possible fix.

I would say that statement, while overly broad and conclusive in the strictest sense, could in a more general sense absolutely be true. It is affordable, it is made well, it is made of very good steel, the handle is very well designed, it is very light, it is big enough to get just about any job done not considered "tough use", and it is readily available.

The Buck 110 is in the same category really and would be a contender for the same title but it is a little heavy and not quit as ergonomic. It is way better looking than the Endura.

Oh it definitely works. Just take it a very small amount at a time. You could also just simply use a hammer and a punch if you feel you're steady enough with it.
