the advantage of living in an earlier time zone, it's 11:35 in the morning & i'm thinking about what to do for lunch.

(actually i was taking a nap & two nice ladies from the jehovah's witness protection program rang the bell to pass on their knowledge and wisdom - i gave them todays sermon:

If we could just get everyone to close their eyes and visualize world
peace for an hour, imagine how serene and quiet it would be until the
looting started.)

the disadvantage is that i'm usually asleep when the DOD's come out.
 
Talk about the DOTD time..........i feel the same here. :(

REPLY : The Jehovahs witless used to get to me until I realised they are just doiung what they are meant to do . As long as I am not busy I will even listen to them for afew minutes .

I liked the world peace looting joke . . When you mentioned your d:O:D: comment I thought you were talking anout taking out your E:D:C: to hurry them on their way ! I can just imagine you taking out a 22 inch Khuk and telling them that it was the Sword of (Insert name of favourite god here )
I imagine they would scurry away right quick .

Yeah, that's where I ended up too. I can't see getting mad at them. It can be aggravating though. I don't go to their house and tell them about HI forum and the khukuris, do I?

REPLY : Why not do just that ? Tell them you are real busy and if they give you their address you could drop by their house and dsiscuss it there . Find out what time supper starts and show up ten minutes later . L:O:L
 
re the ladies:
i was actually very polite with them and we had a nice conversation, one offered me some liturature to read (the watchtower) which i told her would be more usefully given to someone else, the dogs liked them, they looked like little old grannies at tea....they probably never noticed the 4in rigging knife hanging from my hip as i never let them in & talked to them from the doorway. they went next door where my neighbor entertained them politely for a few minutes. nice ladies, much more so than most of the male versions i've seen on occasion.
