Almost every knifemaker wants to go to Blade show at some point, but many of us find those big national shows expensive or difficult to attend. For folks within a few hours' drive of Dallas, I'd like to invite you to get a table at the Lone Star Knife Expo June 13/14. The show is in its third year, and features high quality makers as well as relatively new guys. We will have 50 +/- knifemakers and a few supply dealers as well. We have a dedicated knife show area, surrounded by the Dallas Arms Collectors gun show at Market Hall. The date we have this year is less than ideal, being so close to a major show, but it is what we have. For those of you who think you may have knives left after Blade, or for those who want to try a smaller (than Blade) show in the Dallas area, send me an email at frycustomknives@gmail.com and I'll get you the show registration form. Tables are $80.

Wish I had the time to make a bunch of knives and have a table. I'll try to stop by the show at least.

I dropped by the first year. Did they move your guys or are you still in the back?

We're still where we were before, Joe. Third year in the same location, but we lost our April date in a tricky (friendly) handoff between leadership folks.

Jason,

do you know if any suppliers will have tables at the show this weekend?

At this point we don't have a general supplier, but we do have Jephco and the Burls and Blades guy who will be there with a few things. Turnage will be there too with his mammoth ivory.
