For those who bought grab bags before

I missed out on the thrill the first go around. I put in for 2 $500, hoping an EPDLE of some sort shows up between the 2!

Exciting to hear they will ship so soon!

Is that a Custom Shop Hog Hunter on the right side?

It's a shame that it has such a showy handle on it... I would love that blade shape as a user, but the molar(?) slabs make it "pretty".

First world problems, right?

Yep, it was too pretty for me to use, with the Mammoth Tooth handles, so it found a new home.

It seems that they put some nice rare touches on the blades, a nice way to enhance the value of the packages. That black on black BT6 is a stunner, and that gorgeous infidu-looking knife is a sweet score as well.

That BT6, as far as I saw, was the only canvas handle available.

The smooth bolt infidu was sweet, but it found a new home as well.

I bought a 250 and a 500 bag last time. Sold every blade that came with them for what I paid for the bags. There wasn't anything of interest for me in my bags. Had to trade some of them at a loss to move them.

I went with 1 500 bag this time in hopes that there will be something that tickles my fancy.

I don't know why I didn't get a PD. I missed an original one in bama clay at Blade West many moons ago. Had it in my hands and set it back down. That I regret.

Would like a WTH too. Jerry load me up with small blades and customs! It will be fun opening that box.

My first $500 bag wasn't very exciting. The second $500 bag I purchased had a SHe2 with a cool colored handle in G10. I have etched, stripped and made a sheath for it. It's frickin' rad and one of the most comfortable handled knives I have ever held. So yeah, I'm 1 for 2 with the $500 bags, but the beauty with these offerings is that someone else might have LOVED my first bag, and felt 'meh' about the second. Tastes and preferences are subjective, as someone said earlier.

I will second what others have said regarding value. No matter what you get, you are getting a good deal, value-wise. If I was interested in selling on the exchange then I would be all over these bags again. However, I have a really expensive habit of giving good people good gifts. Damn alcohol. lol

Go for it! Oh wait, you said you already did. ;)

Too be honest, I would order another one but just quit my job and moved to Northern California to study gunsmithing, after telling myself I would for the last 10 years. Sadly, expensive knives are out of the budget for the next (~ 2) years, so I will be torturing myself vicariously through this forum and you fine people for a while. =P

I thought the Gladius was my Busse grail...turns out it's a PD in maroon canvas w/ bronze hardware.

I did very well on the original run of grab bags and did pretty good on the second one. I decided to hold off this time just because I figured there haven't been a whole lot of new offerings since the last grab bag run, and I had bought a few of the ones that did come afterwards, so there was a good chance that I'd end up with duplicates. Just going to keep my fingers crossed for another round of bags later on after a few more models get introduced.

I am hoping that they use this as a teaser for a few (2-3) new models. Which will draw more attention to the OP2WP2, and wondering what knives will drop more than we normally would.
