For those who love Glocks and ESEEs...

I've carried a Glock 22 as a duty gun for over 8 years (in my old department) and owned probably 10 or more Glocks over the years with no problems. They definitely make you spoiled because of the reliability!

I have a G19, G23 and G30. Over 7k rounds combined through the 3 and I have NEVER had a malfunction. This includes my reloads. May not be the prettiest but I conceal carry daily and trust my life to any of them. I beleive the most recent stats show that over 50% of LE carry Glocks. Must be a reason for it.

What say you get rid of that German garbage and get yourself some American steel to go with your American steel? How about a Colt 10mm? Not that plastic BB gun that shoots .40 S&W (Short and Wimpy)!

If you don't like Glock that is fine, don't buy them, more for those of us that know a good weapon when we see it.

Colt's are overrated, so many other great pistols out there without having to pay so much for a name. If you wanna buy American might I suggest S&W's M&P line, great pistols for a LOT less.

You are not very well educated in ballistics I see, I will put a glock 9mm up against your Colt any day. 15 or 17 rounds of some good 9mm hollowpoints will serve me a heck of a lot better than 7 or 8 10mm. But to each his own, go ahead and throw away your money, it's yours to burn.

Oh, and if .40 is so short and wimpy might I suggest you show us a demonstration of you taking one to the chest, or my favorite. . . to the face? Didn't think so. . .

If all product were as well built as Glocks and ESEE knives the world would be a much better place.

Defense mode: I have put plenty of rounds downrange with glocks, and they're the most dangerous gun I have ever fired (dangerous to the shooter). When my Mother was issued a Glock from the San Francisco Sheriff's Department, she laughed.

Just meant to comment on a picture here, not start a war.

How are glocks dangerous to the shooter?

(Point 1) I have put plenty of rounds downrange with glocks, and they're the most dangerous gun I have ever fired..... (Point 2) When my Mother was issued a Glock from the San Francisco Sheriff's Department ......

Point 1: I agree. Many bad people have been shot and killed with a Glock which says they are quite dangerous. You personally have shot many rounds from a Glock and you have not been hurt. Safe I would guess by your statement.

Point 2: The words "Mother" and "San Fransisco" in the same sentence speaks volumes of your youth and towards the attitude regarding any weapon. In San Fran, don't the cops just throw a joint at the criminal and jump on them when they bend over to pick it up?

"sigh" Wow, UN-BE-LIEVABLE…Ok, first off jvthor, you seem to be new to this forum and from your tone, appear to be young so I’m going to be nice. The title of this thread was “FOR THOSE WHO LOVE GLOCKS AND ESEEs”. Obviously you don’t like Glocks, so why did you open this thread in the first place? This forum is a great place to chat with people who have like minded interests, great ideas, and a wealth of knowledge and experience that you could learn from. For the love of God, Robert Young Pelton just posted a thread several below this one! Don’t know who that is? Read up around here…you might just learn a few things. You don’t want to piss off a lot of people you could have gained some knowledge from.

Troll alert!

I'm not the hugest glock fan, but I wont deny that they are fantastic firearms. I just prefer my SIGs and HKs more (By the way, they're German... Sad to say I wont touch an American made handgun unless it's a Ruger or S&W revolver).

Glocks are dangerous to the shooter? There's just no logic there.

Anyways back on topic!

Great pic. That looks a little too big to be a 19...

You are right on Jake! In all the BS. I forgot to clear up the confusion. It’s a G17. Also you are totally right, I love my Glocks, but I own and have respect for a number of different firearms. I own and love a 1911 that I built myself but guess what; I would still trust my Glocks over it any day (and my 1911 will feed anything!). A buddy of mine is a Sig fanatic, so he and I are always razzing each other and have friendly shooting competitions, looser buys the beer that night. Some times he wins, some times I win. The point is, RESPECT. I don’t prefer a Sig, but damn if I don’t respect them.

New to the forum - I'm trying to decide which ESEE blade to pickup. I've already got a Glock 17 and I'll definitely post a pick once I get my ESEE - assuming I can decide on one.

I shoot a Glock 34 in USPSA and i don't have problems. Every body with there tricked out 1911's are the people with the jams and FTE stuff.

Firearms... the other 98% bullshit industry.
Dont like Glocks fine, buy what you want.
Saying they are not as good as *insert name here* is BS.
Saying they are too dangerous to the shooter is BS.

I bought my first Glock a couple months ago, a 36. It shoots a lot better than I was expecting from very small .45. The gun is awesome, a great little carry gun. It will not be my last Glock. A 17 is going to be next. I wish they made a single stack slim .45 full size. I would buy it. I will try to post some pics of my RC3s and my Glock soon.

I've shot just about everything modern: HK USPs/P7's, Sig P22younameit, SW autos and revolvers, Colts, Springfield, Ruger, Beretta, Kel-tec, etc, etc, etc.

I've also owned: Emersons, Chris Reeve, SOG, Buck, Benchmades, CRKTs, Busses, Striders, Al-Mar, etc, etc, etc.

Nothing beats a Glock or an ESEE. Nothing. I still carry a Glock 19 that was made in '89 or '90 (I bought it used in '94). It's got probably 100k rounds through it. Something finally went wrong last year--the tritium in the front sight is gone :) I haven't replaced a single spring or other piece inside or out, just to see how long it'll last. I remember one time in FL hammering tent pegs into the ground using the Glock. The top of the slide still has the marks on it. (Yeah, go ahead and flame me--I know it was abuse. I abuse things-and?). I love my HKP7, but I'll have that 19 forever.

I ended up getting rid of the Busse's and most of the other high-end knives. They just didn't perform any better than the RAT's, especially for the price. Not saying anything bad about them--they're all good. But, as I've said before, for the price there just isn't another knife out there as good. In my opinion. (I think the Becker knives are in second place-they're pretty good, too.)

So, thanks to the OP for posting, I'm definitely a fan of each. :)

Big glock fan here! I own a 19, 26, 21 and 30, and I think they're about the toughest and most reliable pistols on the market. I also own a RC-3, and believe that is the toughest knife on the market.. I should get them together for a pic here soon

I have a ton of different guns ( all makes, models, and calibers), but the one gun I always keep close is my Glock 19. I got that gun when I turned 21 ( im 36 now) and I have never been disappointed with its power or performance.
