for tommorrow's hangover:

Home made oral rehydration solutions:

You can make an inexpensive homemade rehydration drink. Measure all ingredients precisely. Small variations can make the drink less effective or even harmful. Mix:

* 1 quart (950 ml) water
* ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) baking soda
* ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) table salt
* 3 to 4 tablespoons (45 to 60 g) sugar
* If available, add ¼ teaspoon (1.25 g) salt substitute, such as "Lite Salt". (adds potassium)

or another one:

Linky

can also be used for montezuma's revenge or that food poison grunge goin' round......

So judging by the article, I assume that you would add both sodium salt and potassium salt? Wonder if this would be a good workout drink or to stick to straight water for that. Can't remember what the pros recommend anymore. Some have said that just working out for 1 hr just needs water and some say everyone should use a sports drink. Thanks for the tip.

Water and a couple of tablespoons of honey. Much of the pain comes from dehydration, and the feelin' like crap is the loss of b complex vitamins. Brewer's yeast can also be used.
You could always not drink so much....

Start preparing for the party 12 hours ahead of time by drinking water and lots of it prior to boozing it up. As you booze your way through the party hours grab a glass of water periodically to keep watered up. Booze is a diuretic and it rapidly drys out the body causing that awful hangover effect. The downside is that it makes you pee more, but peeing more is better than a thumping painfull head the next day. Try drinking water during the night after the party if you can.

Next morning make yourself a breakfast with salt in it like bacon and eggs. Your body needs some extra salt because all the boozing takes salt out of the body.

Now party!
